| Tiivistelmä: | In 1986, China began to run foreign exchange coordination market as an experiment. In 1994, it conducted the merger of RMB exchange rates and established a unified foreign exchange market. The reforms in these lines have promoted the basic stability of RMB exchange rate and great increase of foreign exchange reserve. But it is still worth while paying attention to the issues like the relation between RMB exchange rate, its trend and the cost of converting RMB into foreign currency as well as the reasonable scale of foreign exchange reserve (USD over 60 billion in 1995). |
