| Tiivistelmä: | This paper analyzes the problems existing in China's foreign exchange market and raises the following six suggestions on how to improve it: 1. changing the compulsory system of settlement of exchange to the one on a voluntary basis, 2. reforming the present secondary foreign exchange market, 3. bringing the foreign-funded enterprises' supply and demand for foreign exchange into the national unified foreign exchange market, 4. strengthening the central bank's function of macro regulation and control , 5. increasing the varieties of transactions on foreign exchange market, 6. establishing and perfecting the legal system for foreign exchange transactions and the management of transaction markets. |
