| Tiivistelmä: | As to the Northwest regional economic development, transportation and communications industry should be developed firstly to form a comprehensive transportation network with railway as the main part, supported by highway and air routes. To this end, the north and south roads connected by the new Euro-Asia Continental Bridge must be opened up with the Bridge as the axis and multiple track electrification construction completed. In addition, the city construction with the provincial capitals along the Bridge as the centre should be strengthened to bring along the neighbouring medium-and small-sized cities and make the formed city group and economic belt along the Bridge growth pole and economic growth belt. Moreover, the Northwest area's economic growth mode should be shifted and its superiority in resources brought into play. |
