Tiivistelmä:It is a commonly known that advancing organizational trust can help enhance employee performance. This article argues that the existing models of trust development lack in considering the importance of socio-cultural contexts and managerial practices. Four socio-cultural contexts are identified, characterized by either low or high work morale of employees and the degree of organizational trust in employees. A processual approach to management practices developing trust is taken. The article distinguishes five stages of organizational trust development and demonstrates how managerial practices can enhance it.
