Tiivistelmä:While ethical principles such as utilitarianism, personal rights, and justice can help guide decisions, they also can create further ethical dilemmas. Principles should be combined with practical, day-to-day strategies and leadership to generate a favourable environment for ethical conduct. Some relevant facts about business decision making are provided. The manager may recognize ethical principles as useful in clarifying or supplementing a personal value system, or in increasing the consistency of one's belief system, but not as a substitute for one's own values. Being familiar with ethical principles may increase self-awareness or the knowledge of one's own values and standards.
