| Tiivistelmä: | This article reviews the main substantive changes introduced in intellectual property rights (IPRs) laws in Latin American countries ssince early 1990, and the extent to which they have used the room for manoeuvre left by the Agreement to legislate at the national level. Given the importance and controversial nature of the reform of patent laws, Section 2 examines substantive amendments introduced in that area, while section 3 reviews other areas of IPRs. |
