| Tiivistelmä: | The efficiency of office work is a vital factor influencing the competitiveness of enterprises of all sizes. The scheduling and sequencing of different operations has a direct impact on office efficiency at a time when the application of computer-based information technologies is spreading rapidly. This fact has been recognised by those responsible and the structuring of information-processing activities in the office is now a focal point of organizational work. In spite of these developments, however, the problems of scheduling and sequencing office operations have received little attention in the literature. With this in mind the author describes the basic structure of office operations. |
