Tiivistelmä:This paper examines a variety of management characteristics of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations of the health services (HS) industry. Using data gathered from Australian senior executives, tested are the relationships btw. managerial constructs, e.g. employee commitment (as: e-cmm.), customer demandingness (as: c-dmss.), strategic human resource management (HRM) orientation and the adoption of human capital-enhancing human resource (HR) (herein as: HCEHR) practices and encountered overall performance (as: perf.). Using the Partial Least Square Modeling, there is found a statistically significant path from e-cmm., c-dmss. and strategic HRM orientation to the adoption of HCEHR practices to perceived organizational perf.
