Tiivistelmä:The purpose of the paper is to study employer support for employee voluntary activity. The effect of employer support on the number of volunteer hours and activities, as well as the distribution of employer support between male and female employees are analyzed. The results of the study suggest that employer support increases employee voluntary activity regardless of the gender. Women, however, receive employer support less often than their male colleagues. Their work hours are also less flexible and they do not get as much time-off as men. This indicates that female employees face more strict time constraints than male employees.
