Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of the paper is to investigate a strategy that supports managerially imposed systems of non-union employee representation. According to Dundon and Gollan's "sensitising framework", the integration of external factors and internal dynamics steers both defensive (union avoidance) and proactive (legitimilation of change) objectives. This article, however, suggests that these objectives represent the tensions unleashed that are reflected in the ineffective functioning of institutions. The issues are demonstrated by using case-study research of two organizations, FinanceCo and FridgeCo. |
