| Tiivistelmä: | This article studies the effects that companies' technological capabilities, as an expression of their technological innovation strategy, have on their international competitiveness. In doing so, the study draws on export and international trade literature to justify the influence that the companies' technological activity has on their export performance. Additionally, concepts derived from the literature on technological innovation are used to identify different capabilities that the companies may develop to manage their innovation processes. These constitute the basis of the hypothesis, in which the technological innovation capabilities identifed are related to companies' export performance. Empirical work is carried out on a sample of 88 Spanish exporting companies belonging to the ceramic tiles industry. |
