| Tiivistelmä: | Traditional management science was successfully used as scientific methodology and quantitative techniques to solve a relatively narrow range of problems. But its failure to come to terms with problems at the strategic level gave way to emerging critique. Modern management science approaches such as soft systems thinking, organizational cybernetics and critical management appeared and they established themselves successfully. Out of the possible development strategies for the future, only a pluralist option, which takes seriously the coexistence of a variety of strands within science, offers excellent opportunities for successful development. |
