| Tiivistelmä: | Eastman Kodak Company has been using an R and D (research and development) portfolio analysis methodology based on decision and risk analysis. It was found that the process adds value by improving communication between the business and technical communities. The kind of person selected as an analyst is critical since both interpersonal skills and technical proficiency with quantitative methods are essential. It is important to structure the program in a way that is compatible with the culture of the particular company. Further, this process has value as a change agent that helps move toward the goal of business-driven research. |
