Tiivistelmä:In the future American citizens older than 55 years form increasingly more important consumer group to marketing planning. This article examines the marketplace behaviour of mature consumers using a random survey of 2082 adults. Specifically, the factors affecting the decisions that mature consumers make regarding purchasing at restaurants are examined. The results show that mature Americans not only differ markedly from their younger counterparts, they also vary widely by persons' demographic and psychographic characteristics. Finally, recommendations for marketing strategy development are suggested.
