| Tiivistelmä: | The Japanese regulations are so restrictive that new Japanese financial products appear mostly in the Euromarkets. Nowadays, however, an increasing number of innovations are starting to appear in Japan, too. Up to now the Ministry of Finance has not permitted the Japanese banks to use foreign interest rate futures and options, and this prevents them from participating in interest-rate swaps. Currency swap market is open, and it concentrates on dollar/yen deals. |
