| Tiivistelmä: | Most theoretical models of the determinants of wage pressure are entirely static. This is a weakness, since many of the policies that we might want to consider to reduce wage pressure can be analysed only in a dynamic model. A simple dynamic model of collective bargaining is presented in the paper, and it is argued that this provides insights into the determinants of wage pressure that a static model cannot do. It is shown how the length of the labour contracts and the dynamics of the labour market affect the level of aggregate pressure. The policy implications of the model are very different from those traditionally put forward to moderate wage pressure. |
