Tiivistelmä:This article provides us with a rare opportunity to get a better understanding of the consumer protection laws and entitlements in Japan; how the disfranchisement of the Japanese consumer evolved; and projects future directions for the Japanese consumer movement. Japanese consumers demand high quality, durable products with a very high level of service. This article examines how the world's most demanding consumers are one of the world's least protected.
