Tiivistelmä:Hungary has attracted lots of foreign capital in the last five or six years. Hungary is creating a tax and legal environment for business that complies with international standards. Foreign expertise is needed by multinationals setting up subsidiaries, joint ventures or other forms of business. Multinational companies are often concerned about the costs associated with seconding expatriates to their Central and East European operations. Multinational companies are also becoming increasingly concerned about the expatriate regime in Hungary. The article is the third and last part in series on the taxation of expatriates in East and Central Europe. The first article on Czech Republic appeared in European Taxation 1996:6; the second article on Russia in European Taxation 1996:8.
