| Tiivistelmä: | The 1990s have been a period of rapid transformation for the Estonian economy. Estonia has now successfully completed several primary tasks faced by most transition countries -- that is, liberalization and the opening up of the economy, macroeconomic stabilization, privatization, monetary reform, the strengthening of the financial sector, and so forth. Further developments in the economy will, however, depend to a great extent on the orientation of the Estonian economy toward the goals of the advanced European economies. |
