| Tiivistelmä: | "Contagion" is a relatively new concept in economics. A search of the EconLit data set for 1969-February 2000, yielded 147 entries that had the word "contagion" in either the title or in the abstract. Of these, only 17 corresponded to works published before 1990. This contrasts sharply with, say, "devaluation" a word that is also associated with financial turmoil in global markets. |
