| Tiivistelmä: | Among the "timeless articles" from the 1963-1987 volumes of the journal this one /from 1975/ deals with the role of internal entrepreneur. His /or her/ success depends on the working environment. A receptive organizational structure is needed. The managerial style is important, too. The entrepreneur must be given maximum day to day operational autonomy. This is particularly true in industrial firms. Case studies demonstrate the degree of success with differing managerial styles. A report on the project Scientific Activity Predictor for Patterns with Heuristic Origins (SAPPHO) is analyzed, indicating the success and failure rates of various types of innovators. |
