| Tiivistelmä: | BBC World Service is in an awkward situation since due to increasing expenses it is compelled to cut transmissions in 1990. To avoid this step the World Service asks for extra funding from the government. At the same time it wants to employ some more people for broadcasting from Eastern Europe. |
