| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of the paper is to analyze the main determinants of the bilateral trade flows btw. Japan and seven EU member countries (the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, Spain, and the Netherlands). The analysis is focused on the importance of prices, activity variables, the inflows of Japanese FDI towards the European countries in question and the exchange rate fluctuations on exports and imports through the pass-through effect. |
