| Tiivistelmä: | Pressure is on to simplify the structure of national vocational qualifications (NVQs) and to put more emphasis on developing common standards across occupational groups. But will this lead to educationalist taking control from employers again? The author concludes that if the Government continues to fund and intervene heavily in the development and design process, NVQs could soon be a dead duck and vocational qualifications would, once again, be knowledge-based and controlled mainly by educationalists. |
