Tiivistelmä:The paper reviews and assesses past evidence on panel respondent conditioning and examines conditioning issues relating to the use of online access panels for tracking studies. A pan-European study is presented that tracks brand awareness and image and advertising recall. The implications for panel management rules to eliminate any unwelcome conditioning effects are discussed and suggestions for further research are offered.
