| Tiivistelmä: | In the last decade there has been a radical change in public attitudes to the environment, initiated by green pressure groups. The change meant that industry was forced to develop an environmental appreciation. The environment can be used as a resource to create economic growth, in turn, the wealth created through economic growth can contribute to the protection of the environment. Fossil fuels still dominate energy supply. Energy efficiency must improve, water and gas must be cleaned up, its products must be cleaner and more recyclable. Shell has developed a system of management guidelines, using environmental audits to check if an operation complies with Group standards. |
