| Tiivistelmä: | The article analyzes the regional factors' impact on the resident consumption behaviors by using the Panel Data Model based on the family investigation of residents in 30 cities in January 1996, January 1997, and January 1998. Its results show that a great differences exist among the expenditures of total consumption and those of consumption by various items of the residents in different cities. Therefore, taking the regional differences into full consideration to work out consumption policies suitable to local conditions can not only lessen the demand insufficiency but also open up new market and achieve common development. |
