| Tiivistelmä: | This article discusses the managed democracy in Russia. The party of power won the Duma elections in 2003 and political trends, specifically evidence of growing capacity of pro-Kremlin forces to take full advantage of their electoral fortunes, seem to indicate the same outcome in the 2007 Duma elections. This provides to Putin's successor a compliant lower house, which contributes to continuing managed democracy. |
