Tiivistelmä: | The history of a quality improvement program - within the framework of a quality of working life program - is reported. The main purpose is to describe the conceptualization, implementation, and stabilization of a total quality control system. The "vertical slice approach" is specified. The term refers to a vertical slice of the organization. Vertical slice should include everyone who affects the quality of the selected department's product. An appropriate training curriculum is sketched. The organizational power relationships are examined. The evolution of a quality team is reviewed. Its phases (choosing a department, training, commitment, planning, implementation and sustaining) are dealt with. |
