| Tiivistelmä: | Digital TV and interactive TV systems are being built but the main thing today is putting TV and PC together. Some of the technology needed for this has been around for years. The two media are converging now because microprosessors are grown powerful and memorychips inexpensive, many people have a personal computer at home, and with the Internet, so much digital information is available. Most consumers have found PCs too complicated, but now easy-to-use, single-purpose devices are being developed. The next-generation convergence version will handle all the home digital electronics and emerge as the central processing unit for every information and and entertainment apparatus in the house. |
