Value engineering and design-for-manufacturing techniques can support target costing to effect potential increases in the organization's capacity to do work - if implemented correctly. Target costing benefits can be realized by using a four-step process, in which capacity management and an understanding of the relevant cost dynamics translates information down to the bottom-line benefits. |
