Tiivistelmä: | A model is developed of how managers construe organizational events as a change unfolds. The model, built from in-depth interviews with managers, describes a sequence of four distinct stages - anticipation, confirmation, culmination, and aftermath - linked to the process of change, through which interpretations of key events progress. In addition to the distinctive stages in the interpretation of change, the data also reveal processes that move individuals from one interpretive stage to another. Although various triggers in the unfolding of an event spark the shift from one interpretational stage to another, personalized experience keeps the movement going. |
