Tiivistelmä: | A research instrument is developed as a means of data collection for measuring perceptually the extent to which different approaches to productivity improvement are used by companies. Rankings are obtained. Clear contrast in productivity improvement approaches can be seen when comparisons are made. The underlying importance of cost reduction and product/service quality control in productivity improvement efforts, except for jointly-owned companies, is cogently supported by examining the summary table. Companies across contexts do not appear to favour the use of consultants, special project studies, functional specialization by appointment of a productivity manager, nor the use of productivity indicators. |
