| Tiivistelmä: | A survey indicates that price hike affects low-income families most. 69.8 percent of the increase of residents' income was swallowed, and 77.4 percent of the increase of residents' consumption spending was offset by price hike, which also reduced the actual purchase power of residents of Shanghai. The actual purchase power of 100 yuan between Jan. and Oct. of 1994 equals 80.8 yuan in the same period of 1993, and 67.5 yuan in the same period of 1992. |
