| Tiivistelmä: | This paper investigates the link between environmental policies and industrial competitiveness. The relationship is found to be complex and it is difficult to isolate the impacts of environmental policies per se on trade and competitiveness. At the firm level, the impact may be negative for some sectors, especially in the short run. In the longer run and at the macro level, impacts on competitive positions of firms and countries are found to be insignificant. |
