| Tiivistelmä: | Since the introduction of comprehensive economic reforms in the mid-1980s, Viet Nam has become an attractive production location for foreign direct investment. By the end of 1995, the Vietnamese authorities had issued foreign direct investment (FDI) lincences for a total investment amount of more than $18 billion. However, a large number of the early foreign investment projects have encountered serious problems, as claim the authors of this article. |
