| Tiivistelmä: | A meta-analysis was conducted to determine the relation between satisfaction-turnover correlations across studies and unemployment rates at the time those studies were conducted. The results support the Muchinsky and Morrow /1980/ model, which predicts that the relation between job satisfaction and turnover will be stronger during periods of low unemployment, and weak during periods of high unemployment (economic hardship). So the job satisfaction- turnover relation became weaker as the employment level decreased. |
