| Tiivistelmä: | The issue of vertical integration has recently regained major interest in corporations and academia as well. Realizing the potentials for establishing competitive advantages through vertical integration decisions and the use of microeconomic transaction cost theory for analyzing vertical strategies are two main reasons behind this new development. The article discusses how to establish competitive advantages by disintegrating vertical activities, focussing on improving a company's cost position. |
