| Tiivistelmä: | It is believed that forvard vertical integration provides firms with the potential for a differentiation advantage, and backward vertigal integration provides them with the potential for a low-cost competitive advantage. This paper tests the theory built according this belief, by using a sample of large firms. The findings don't support the relationship between low cost and backward vertigal integration,but they do support relationship between forward vertical integration and differentiation-based competitive advantage. The size of the sample used in this study makes some limitations. |
