| Tiivistelmä: | The authors developed a model to understand better the impact of vertical integration of production-distribution and exhibition of first-run motion pictures. Application of the model to conditions typical of the current successful movies implies that vertical integration of the first-run movie industry might result in as much as a 30% lower admission price, which could result in a doubling of audience and higher revenues. |
