| Tiivistelmä: | Arguments are provided aiming at a clarification of strategic change and specifically vertical integration. A dialectical framework is constructed which describes the dynamic logic between uncertainty, repertoires and actual strategic change. The focus is on how dominant groups address environmental difficulties, the way these groups change, how their repertoires are formed, reproduced and adapted, the way actions are taken, and how these in turn affect subsequent perceptions. After presenting a typical vertical integration case, the literature is surveyed. Next some propositions on the formation of vertical integration strategy are formulated and tested. |
