| Tiivistelmä: | Instead of the long hoped economic growth obtained through the completion of the single market, the European Community faces recession. The necessary financial means are missing for projects to stimulate the economy and no impulse from the world economy is likely in the near future. An optimistic and a recession scenarios are developed for the American and Japanese economics and the consequences of each are considered. Special emphasis is given to the likely development of unemployment and economic growth in the countries of the European Community. |
