| Tiivistelmä: | By 1994, the joint ventures under the Ministry of Machine Building Industry had introduced a foreign investment of US $ 3.5 billion. Since that year, the scale of joint ventures and the amount of their investment in units' projects have increased, by a large margin though their number has be reduced. The problems existing in joint ventures are as follows: 1. The overdue competition between joint ventures in key industries of great interest will lead to the surplus of production capacity, waste of investment and difficulties in structural adjustment. 2. As a certain industry or the same kind of products invested in by different countries which have their own technical specifications and standards of products, new barriers will be increased in the specialization of machine-building industry. |
