| Tiivistelmä: | The growth of industrial production fell , keeping balance in 1996. The growth rate for the whole year stood at 13% or so. The non-state-owned industry grew more rapidly. The growth of light industry and the growth of heavy industry were almost the same. Some progress was made in the adjustment of product mix. But the state of linking of production with marketing was not ideal. The funds taken up by the finished products of enterprises nation-wide reached 534.5 billion yuan. The industrial economic returns were sliding down sharply. The rate of loss-making enterprises was 26.3% and the volume of losses reached 94.81 billion yuan. As the macro tight policy is practised continuously in 1997, it is estimated that the industrial growth rate will be 10% or so, the economic returns will possibly slide down and there will be more loss-making enterprises. |
