| Tiivistelmä: | Key components of a futures-oriented strategic planning model that incorporates imaginal processes are analysed within a strategic planning model. The relationship of imaginal processes - visualization, imagery, guided scenario creation - to strategic planning, forecasting, and anticipatory management is explained. It is argued that more systematic use of innate imaginal processes can substantially enhance the strategic planning process in organizations. As organizations face more complex and changing futures, both analytical and creative skill is becoming increasingly crucial and relevant in planning. |
