Tiivistelmä:Arguments are presented that recent advances in the field of business strategy and policy studies have benefited greatly from scholarly activity on decision making. The strengths and limitations of the vocabularies of strategic choice and change are examined. The role of some ontological and epistemological assumptions is emphasized. It is shown that the language of decision making can be more powerful when decision making is understood as a continuous process in context. While sometimes decision can get in the way of understanding behaviour, it is declared to be also evident that scholars of decision making have been the most active in developing alternative process theories of action and behaviour.
