Tiivistelmä:Market driven product development is seen as key to successful product innovation. If asymmetric information and possible divergent interests are considered in this context the need for an incentive scheme to control the behaviour of the design engineers can be identified. Agency theory is applied to show the (incentive) costs of a market driven product development and the implications on the development work.
