| Tiivistelmä: | New companies need to be equipped with sufficient level of risk capital. Financing new companies with venture capital has spread recently. If a company allocates capital to participate in an other one, it also wants to influence the business strategy and tries to keep the new company under control by several other ways. There are of course other possibilities than venture capital financing. By analysis of transaction costs the cases are illustrated when venture capital is preferred to other ways of financing. |
