| Tiivistelmä: | The issue of collective relations between management and employees in multinational companies has been at the top of the European employment agenda over recent years. As well as the attempts of the European Commission to introduce EC-wide legislation on the issue, much attention has been focused on the voluntary agreement for international employee information and consultation set up in a number of European multinationals. In the first part of a review of these developments, the background to information and consultation in European multinationals is examined and 18 companies are looked at where formal agreement or regular informal arrangements exist. |
