| Tiivistelmä: | New forms of work organization and personnel reduction reflect the efforts of many companies to increase their production efficiency at the bottom-levels of organizational hierarchy. Practical evidence illustrates that instead of selective measures a comprehensive way of handling the problems of organization and management is demanded. The lean-management concept seems to provide an excellent frame for an organizational strategy that especially optimizes the management process. Guidelines are presented as an aid to make the best out of this concept. "Lean management" is shown to be a comprehensive philosophy of entrepreneurship that limits the staff at top management level. |
